Strykers Night
Overview: Designed gameday graphics and social media content for the Empire Strykers, a professional soccer team for the MASL (Major Arena Soccer League) sponsored by the City of Fontana. Work spanned matchup graphics for Instagram, a dedicated Strykers Night event graphic, and full photo coverage of both the game and community soccer clinics, shot with a Sony A7R II and A6000. The project combined graphic design and event photography to deliver a cohesive gameday presence across digital platforms.
Problem Statement:
Static, templated graphics weren't going to create the excitement the brand needed on matchday.
Needed to execute same-day templated graphics to promote upcoming games.
Needed to match the branding of the Empire Strykers and represent the City of Fontana as well.
Research & Insights:
Studied how professional sports organizations frame matchup graphics.
Event photography also plays a critical role in community sports.
Researched soccer design aesthetics to get unique results the City hasn’t done before.
Design Process:
Moodboard Creation: Sharp, bold, dynamic.
Color Palette: Purple gradient, charcoal black, silvers.
Typography: Italicized San Serif to replicate sports branding.
