Fontana Days Half Marathon
Overview: The Fontana Days Run is one of the longest-running road races in California, founded in 1955 and drawing over 2,000 participants from multiple countries annually. For the 71st edition, a sponsorship book was designed to communicate the race's community impact and attract event partners — viewable as an interactive flipbook. Additional deliverables included conceptual medal designs for the 5K, Half Marathon, Children's Dash, and Family Fitness Walk, as well as the official registration card distributed to the public. The event was also featured in the City's 2026 Winter/Spring Activities Brochure.
Problem Statement:
Distinguishing this year’s branding run from last.
Meeting the expectations of the event with something new.
Rebrand while remaining recognizable to the audience.
Research & Insights:
Sponsorship decision-makers respond to demonstrated reach, community credibility, and clear benefit tiers.
Stakeholders were inspired by the University of Southern California’s color palette.
Researched designs for a modern look in contrast to the 70th annual being 1970s-inspired.
Design Process:
Moodboard Creation: Futuristic, geometrical, textures.
Color Palette: Burgundy Red, highlighter yellow.
Typography: Orbitron, geometric sans-serif, became a part of the branding.
